What Is All-on-X?
All-on-X is a fixed full-arch bridge supported by 4–6 dental implants (the “X”). It replaces all teeth in one jaw (upper or lower). Most patients receive a non-removable provisional bridge on surgery day, followed by a durable, highly esthetic final bridge after healing.
Who Is a Candidate?
- Multiple failing teeth, advanced gum disease, or extensive wear/decay
- Loose or uncomfortable dentures—desire a fixed solution
- Prior bone loss (graftless, angulated approaches may be possible)
- Good general health and commitment to cleanings and home care
Treatment Options We Offer
- All-on-4 / All-on-5 / All-on-6 customized to bone quality and bite forces
- Immediate-load (“same-day teeth”) when primary stability is achieved
- Graftless strategies (tilted posterior implants) or targeted bone/soft-tissue grafts when indicated
- Final bridge materials: high-strength monolithic zirconia, nano-ceramic on titanium, or hybrid options
Materials & Esthetics
- Provisional: Lightweight PMMA or reinforced hybrid for healing and esthetic try-in
- Final:
- Zirconia for strength, polishability, and lifelike translucency
- Nano-ceramic / hybrid for shock absorption and repairability
- Titanium reinforcement where added rigidity is preferred
We tailor tooth shape, shade, and gum contours to your lips and face.
The Treatment Process
- Consultation & Records – Exam, CBCT, photos, and bite/esthetic analysis; review timelines and fees.
- Smile Design & Try-In – Digital scan and mock-up to preview tooth length, phonetics, and support.
- Guided Surgery – Extractions (if needed) → implants placed with guides → fixed provisional bridge delivered if stability criteria are met.
- Healing (3–6 Months) – Tissue shaping, bite checks, hygiene coaching; adjustments as you adapt.
- Definitive Bridge – Precision records and delivery of the final, long-term bridge; maintenance plan.
Comfort, Recovery & Longevity
- Most patients experience 2–4 days of swelling/bruising and resume light routines quickly.
- Soft diet during healing; meticulous but gentle cleaning under the bridge.
- With professional cleanings and bite protection (nightguard if indicated), results can last for many years.
Cost & Insurance
Fees depend on extractions, grafting needs, number of implants, and final materials. We’re insurance-friendly: our team checks benefits, provides clear, itemized estimates, and files claims on your behalf. Flexible payment options are available.
All-on-X vs. Dentures (At a Glance)
- All-on-X: Fixed, slim profile; preserves bone better; strong bite; no adhesive.
- Dentures: Removable, may feel bulky; lower bite force; potential sore spots and movement.
We’ll compare both for your case—including timelines, costs, and maintenance.
FAQs
Will I have teeth the same day?
Often yes. If implants achieve stability, we deliver a
fixed provisional at surgery. Final bridge follows after healing.
Do I need bone grafts?
Not always. Angulated posterior implants can avoid sinus or ridge grafts; when needed, we plan
targeted grafting for esthetics and longevity.
How do I clean under the bridge?
Brush twice daily; use a
water flosser and superfloss/under-bridge brushes. Our hygienists show you exactly how.
What if I clench or grind?
We’ll discuss
nightguard protection and bite design to safeguard your bridge and implants.
